The Dry Eye Clinic is located within Custom EyeCare, in the heart of the ‘cafe strip’ on Newcastle’s Darby Street, famous for its coffee shops, cafes, artisan gift stores and boutique shops. You will find us right next door to Darby Street Quality Meats with their delicious smelling smokehouse out the back, and just up from Core Espresso. Our building is the one set back slightly from the street – many people remember it as either the former ‘Jenny Craig’ or ‘Antique shop’ building.

Car Parking at Custom Eyecare at 158 Darby Street Newcastle

Darby Street is a popular location, so parking can be an issue at times. We do have four dedicated private car spaces reserved for our clients while enjoying our service, right at our front door! Simply drive in off Darby Street, and they are the four spaces closest to our front door – look for the signs.

We kindly ask, for the sake of others, that you avoid leaving your car parked in our car spaces for longer periods. We would love all our other clients to also have a chance of enjoying convenient parking at our door.

If all four spaces are taken, you can often find a space on Darby Street itself and be sure to check the street signs for time limits as they do vary depending on which side of Darby St you park on. We do suggest you allow at least an hour for your eye examination appointment – we’d rather do a thorough job, and don’t want you to feel rushed.

There is also a free two hour council car park right behind the Delany hotel. To access this carpark drive down the laneway just a few metres from our own driveway, next to Monella Gelato – where the ice cream is just sensational! The other entrance to the council carpark is off Council St behind the Delany hotel.
